The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is only a few weeks away, set to take over the world’s yachting capital for four days, from October 30 to November 3. This is the 60th time the annual event has been held, and it seems set to be the biggest yet, with over 1.200 exhibitors, over 1.500 boats on display, and 110 000 visitors from 52 countries around the world. Nobody with an interest in any aspect of the boating industry can afford to miss it. Are you ready for it?
Like any major exhibition, it can be quite an overwhelming experience; there is simply too much to see to just wander along and take things as they come. Whether you’re in the industry, a casual visitor or a dedicated boating enthusiast, you’re always better off planning your visit.
Taking a glance at the show guide, here are just a few of the highlights that we’re most looking forward to, and which we would encourage you to put into your show schedule:
Aquazone by Nautical Ventures:
Usually the show’s biggest audience puller, this takes place at the giant freshwater pool at the Sailfish Pavilion just outside the Convention Center. Here you can see a range of events from flyboard aerial “aquabatics” to hovercraft shows and new yacht toy product launches.
Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo, Seminars and Art Exhibits:
Every kind of water sport comes under the spotlight at the Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo, Seminars and Art Exhibits. Whether you’re into water-skiing, spearfishing, diving (scuba and free) – you name it – you will find all the latest and greatest news and products here. It’s always fascinating and a lot of fun.
New Boats and Products:
Of course, don’t forget what most of you will be there for in the first place: the new boats and other products that will be on display. We could name any number of launches and unveilings that we’re excited to see, but you’re better off checking out the list yourself and making a note to catch whatever floats your boat.
For those serious about their yachts, running gear and accessories, be sure to check out the Sabre Yachts Exhibit at Lime Zone B Dock 212 – 214, and the Volvo Penta exhibit at the Yellow Zone Engine Row 1203. As proud dealers and servicers of both of these industry leaders, the Siebert crew will be sure to be nearby so come and say “Hi!” All the goodies that they will be unveiling will soon be sold and serviced by us, so get in touch with us to talk about new products and what they can do for your boating experience.
Can’t wait to see you there!
